Halloween, to me, is a day of freedom for ghosts, a rare occasion when they’re allowed to travel into the human world.
I’ve always been fascinated by fairy tales, especially stories about witches. I often wish they were real and living among us. In this project, I bring that imagination to life through a photographic narrative. I imagine that on Halloween night, a witch : symbolizing a ghost, is given the chance to cross over and explore our world for the very first time.
Everything is new and exciting to her. Through her eyes, the ordinary becomes magical. The series is told entirely from the witch’s perspective, as if each image is one of her memories.
